J- Is for jumper

This weekend was pretty exhausting. After the girls got their vaccines, Soleil was not herself. Neve isn't as effected as her sister. Soleil just cries for hours, uncontrollably. I wonder how they will react next week when I get their ears pierced?Yesterday wasn't as bad, but you know those days where you just kind of want to curl up in bed and sleep the day away? I realized quickly how impossible that is when you have twins. You just CANNOT stay in bed, no matter how tired you are. There is laundry to do (my hubby does the laundry while i fold and put away) house to clean etc. All the while, you have to entertain your kids.

I let them watch tv sometimes. They seem to love *the mickey mouse* clubhouse. But the truth be told, my husband was watching a show on how machines are made, and that mesmerized them as well... I think they like the moving pictures. But then I feel guilty after letting them watch tv. What kind of a bad mother I am for putting them in front of the tube? But sometimes, that's the only thing I can do when they wont stop crying and I have a million things to get done. I don't let them sit there all day, maybe 20 minutes. I like to put them on their play mat, swings etc. But they seem to be bored with them already. That is when we decided to assemble the jumper.

So after we got the green light from our pediatrician to let the girls use the jumper they received at my baby shower, we put them in. Neve was the first in. She kind of had no idea what was going on, and how exactly she was suspended in animation. I think they will start getting the hang of it pretty soon.

Neve:

(try not to notice the tv stand by them with all the wires hanging out. I think we need to take care of that before they start crawling)

They'll love the jumper. I must have annoyed the crap out of my downstairs neighbor when Kaylee finally got the hang of it and was jumping up a storm. She used it until she was like 1 or so, and I believe it helped build up her muscles so she could walk and what not.
On TV wires all we did was move them to behind the stand and she's left them alone, which is weird seeing that any other wires in the house are taken out of the walls right away.
On a side note Kaylee loved Playhouse Disney until I got so tired of seeing the same show over and over again, so now we watch Noggin which seems to hold her attention and teach her more. I know we all say we're not going to let our kids watch TV but with one, I need time to do laundry, clean and my school work, I can't imagine not letting them watch TV if I had two!

How fun is that.
Glad that you were able to move them up to the jumper. My kids loved theirs too.
Cute cute girls.

That is such a cool jumper! I wish I had bought one of those but I feel like it's too late now. We just use the activity centers and my girls LOVE them but they also like to bounce.
And my girls love Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, too! Actually, they like all of the Playhouse Disney cartoons but MMC is one of my faves :) I felt guilty at first, too, but they really, really like it. Now we will set them in their bouncers, give them a bottle and they are good to go. They sit there and just stare at the t.v. and drink their bottle. They definitely let me know when they are tired of sitting there but it does give me some time to get things done. Plus, I just really don't believe tha a little t.v. is bad...I watched tons of it and turned out just fine!
Hope they are feeling better from the shots. My girls seem to react worse each time we get them. So I am not looking forward to their 9-month appointment next week for that reason :(

FYI, you don't get to lye in bed when you have a singleton either, lol.

The jumper was Lila very favorite piece of baby equipment. Have fun with it!!

I love those pics.

Look at you - getting worried of being judged. I shamelessly know every single word of Monsters Inc, Shrek, and Toy Stoer. (1 and 2).

... but, Tiger also plays soccer, jumps on his tramp, goes for long walks.

TV isn't so evil; it's all in the balance.

Zo hasn't yet gotten the hang of her jumper. She just spins around in it.

They look like they have really good head control. I keep having to remind myself that they were preemies, they are so strong and big. And beautiful, of course.
